What’s Best About Metropolitan Tower Chicago?
“Metropolitan Tower is ideal for those who appreciate Art Deco architecture in a premier location close to everything that makes Chicago a world-class city.”
Metropolitan Tower Condos – Details
Metropolitan Tower is located at 310 S Michigan Avenue in Downtown Chicago (Loop) and is a classic Art Deco building. It was originally constructed in 1924 and completely renovated in 2005.
Residences here range in size from 1,200 square feet to 4,000 square feet. Penthouses come with private elevators and feature spectacular 360-degree views of Chicago and the lake.
Distinctive Features
The building is crowned by a 40-foot pyramid completed with a large “bee-hive” blue glass ornament filled with 1000-watt lightbulbs emitting a deep blue light which is a prominent feature of Chicago’s nighttime skyline. So Chicagoans of course just call it the “bee-hive” building.
Premier Location
Live here and you’re really close to all the best Chicago cultural attractions. For example, just steps away are the Symphony Center, Millennium Park, Grant Park and, our favorite, the Art Institute of Chicago.
Plus the Magnificent Mile shopping district is less than a mile away. And there are many fine restaurants and other eateries in the neighborhood.
Did we mention there is KILWINS ice creme / chocolatier in the building!
Pet Friendly
Metropolitan Tower is a pet-friendly building however there are pet count and weight limitations. It’s best to ask about it before looking.
Easy Transportation
Metropolitan Tower sits just two blocks from CTA stations with access to all downtown CTA train lines. Live here and you can get anywhere fast.
