What’s Best About The Montgomery Condos?
“Conveniently located at 500 W Superior in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, this former headquarters for Montgomery Ward was gracefully converted in 2006 into 250 modern luxury condos with premier amenities”
The Montgomery Condos – Overview
500 W Superior was originally designed by architect Minoru Yamasaki who also designed the World Trade Center in NYC. It was constructed in 1972 to serve as the administration headquarters for mail order catalog company Montgomery Ward. Notably it had no “corner offices”. Montgomery Ward went bankrupt in 2001 and in 2006, the building was converted to luxury condominiums.
Today the Montgomery is popular with residents because it offers premier amenities, is super pet-friendly and has a convenient River North location.
Let’s take a closer look…
Premier Amenities
First, living at The Montgomery Condos means enjoying premier list of wonderful amenities. Let’s begin with the assessments. They include quite a lot: heat, air conditioning, water, gas, dish tv, internet and more.
The amenities in the building are truly impressive. Walk in and you’ll immediately feel the professionalism of the 24/7 door personnel. Residents enjoy the fabulous sundeck and state-of-the-art exercise room. Plus the day-to-day conveniences of the package receiving room, freight elevator, bike room and on-site dry cleaner. And, if you’re a dog owner, you will absolutely love the private dog park!
Super Pet-Friendly
Next, in addition to the pet-friendly policies, the building is just a block from the super popular off-leash Larrabee Dog Park. Locals like to call it a “real” dog park because of the rare off-leash area.
Convenient Location
Finally, not only is The Montgomery close to a great dog park, its also close to the brown/purple line, restaurants, nightlife, shops, the river front and so much more!
These are just a few of the things that make living at The Montgomery Condos worth a look if you’re thinking about buying or renting in River North.
